A Rowing Machine could help you reach Olympic glory!

There are many of you out there who may be contemplating buying yourself a treadmill or one of many different rowing machines. Well a treadmill is a good place to start if you go running often and seeing as the frosty days and nights are going to be setting in very soon it’s a wise idea to purchase something you can use to keep yourself fit throughout the winter.

There are many different kinds of treadmill and rowing machine that you can buy and obviously some are much better value for money than others. Take rowing machines for example, there are many different kinds of rowing machines out there that you could look at getting such as the Concept 2 Rowing Machine. Widely renowned as the best rowing machine in the world, you can be certain you have a top quality product.

Other rowing machines are just as good, there’s the H20 Fitness Rowing Machine. The H20 is a little expensive, but it depends on where you get the machine from. You could maybe join a gym so that you don’t need to pay for your own rowing machine. This is what Olympic Silver Medallist Matt Langridge did.

Joining a gym and beating a little interactive man on a rowing machine at an ‘Olympic’ level is what inspired Matt to join his local rowing club and the rest, as they say is history.

Rowing Machines do come in handy!

For any of you out there who were wondering about whether or not to get a rowing machine then this may sway you a little bit. We’ve recently heard that Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg has been struggling to balance work and his personal life thus meaning he was getting a tad unfit and out of shape.
Well good old Nick, known for using his noggin has now decided to start using a rowing machine in his meetings. Yes you read that right, a rowing machine! His fellow MP’s have now finally become accustomed to seeing him walk into a meeting donning a t-shirt and shorts and start rowing away whilst discussing the countries latest problems.
We don’t know what rowing machine he does have it could be anything from a Stamina rowing machine to a Kettler rowing machine. I suppose the only way we would find out is by being invited into one of these bizarre meetings.
As absurd as this next bit will sound it is to a certain extent true, Nick Clegg has a female fan club. Yes that’s right and not just any old ladies, some of the girls from The Only Way is Essex have described him as the ‘fit one’ of the coalition.
Whilst we’re on the subject of reality TV, Big Brother has set their housemates a rowing task. The Housemates must split themselves up into two teams of four at which point they will go through into the garden where they will be greeted by rowing machines. All housemates then have to take a seat on the rowing machines and row for as long as they can and anyone who stops will be eliminated. The last one rowing wins; simple.

Olympic Rower’s Team Talk Inspires Hammers’ to 4-0 Win

For those of you who don’t know, Mark Hunter is an Olympic Rower and Gold Medallist. He won gold in 2008 at the Beijing Olympics for finishing first in the rowing. He was of course representing Team GB and he has also won gold at this year’s World Championships in Bled.

Anyhow, as he’s a big West Ham fan, he was delighted when he received a call from the Hammers’ boss, Sam Allardyce. Big Sam had phoned him up and asked for him to attend a West Ham training session and give a talk before the game against Blackpool.

He is trained as a rower, and has probably trained on many a rowing machine in his time but this was somewhat a whole new experience for him. I don’t know about you, but I imagine standing up in front of a team of professional footballers, giving a motivational speech and not really knowing what to expect in response can be quite a daunting thing to do.

Well whatever he did, it worked and it inspired the Hammers’ to go on and beat a Blackpool team 4-0. They are doing well in The Championship following their relegation from The Premier League last season, but this will have been a bit of a setback for the team, and I imagine that it will have pleased a few of their rival Preston North End fans to see them lose 4-0 after a stunt pulled by Blackpool fans following North End’s relegation from The Championship last season.

Rowing machines, as has been proved by Mark Hunter, can be extremely useful for building up your fitness and there’s none better than the H20 Fitness Rowing Machine for building up your stamina and fitness. Another good rowing machine that you could use in and around the home to help you get fit is one of the many Kettler Rowing Machines.

Had a Boring Summer? Try this Next Summer then!

Many of us out there spend our summers doing nothing in particular, maybe go out round town with your mates a couple of nights, or maybe go out for a few slap up meals but nothing special. Other than the norm, going on holiday somewhere warm, or what we’ve just mentioned then we generally don’t tend to anything much exciting in the summer.

Well this summer was certainly a little different for Scottish adventurer, Jock Wishart. Jock guided a 6 man team, in a rowing boat all the way to the North Pole. Yes, not exactly the normal way to spend your summer, but it’s definitely worth it when you consider that he and his team both got in the record books.

Undoubtedly, they would have done some training on rowing machines before they set off on their long journey. Not only are they good for just generally getting fit and healthy, you can tone yourself and keep up a good level of stamina. Whilst we’re on the subject of stamina, they may very well have had a Stamina Rowing Machine, or if it turns out that they didn’t then there’s a million and one other kinds of rowing machines that could have been used, but a favourite amongst gym owners and gym users is the Concept 2 Rowing Machine.

If you’re planning anything that is similar to this expedition then you may want to look into getting yourself a rowing machine. They can help you get fit, and help you become an extremely healthy person.

Rowing Machines can help people in so many ways

As the title says, a rowing machine can help people in more ways than one. There’s the obvious ways that they can help people, fitness wise. For example if you buy yourself a rowing machine then you will definitely reap the benefits.

Then there’s the way that it can help people like one has helped 9 year old Bel Young from Ilkley. She fell from a climbing frame, breaking her neck which stopped her from being able to use her arms and legs and needing a ventilator to breathe.

A local physiotherapist has helped to raise more than £10,000 for Bel’s charity, the “Being Bel Trust”. He was using a Concept 2 Rowing Machine often dubbed as “The World’s Best Rowing Machine”, and it definitely helped the physiotherapist complete his 50 half marathon’s in 60 days or million miles on a rowing machine, in 60 days.

There are many other great rowing machines out there that can be used in events such as this one, or perhaps you would just like to buy one for yourself to use at home. One of the better ones to buy for your own personal use would be a Kettler Rowing Machine. The Kettler Rowing Machine has a folding facility which makes for easy storage and helps save room when you’re not using it.

Blackpool Boxing Champ And Ice Skater Raise Cash In Charity Rowing Machine Event

Blackpool boxing champion Brian Rose and “Dancing On Ice” star Daniel Whiston are taking part in a charity rowing event.

The local celebrities have pledged to cover a staggering one million metres on a rowing machine in just two months to raise as much money as possible for a two-year-old little boy who has a critical heart condition.

Yuto Rise, from Cleveleys, has restrictive cardiomyopathy which puts him at risk of heart failure; so the celeb duo aims to row as much as they can at the FX Leisure gym in Poulton in support.

Rose, who is an English light-middleweight champion, told The Blackpool Gazette: “I’m more than willing to take part in anything that helps the community. When it’s a local lad it’s closer to your heart.

“I think it makes people stand up and notice. More people will get involved because we are doing our bit.”

Yuto needs a heart and lung transplant but his father Daz has said: “We are just praying that Yuto is one of those cases where they only give you six months to live, but 20 years down the line you are still alive.”

TV ice skater Whiston added: “What an amazing cause to bring this money to the table for Yuto and his family to make his life a little bit better.

“We all want to help him as much as we can and it’s an absolute honour that I can do something with my celebrity status.”

The family are hoping to raise £20,000 from the rowing event in order to find the construction of two ground-level rooms for Yuto. So far, they have raised a massive £8,500.

Whether the pair train on a H20 Fitness Rowing Machine, or a Lifecore Fitness Rowing Machine; fingers crossed the family reach their target goal due to the local stars getting involved!
